WALT: Create a Bare bones plan

  7. She runs after it but loses it  
  8. sees a old man 
  9. old man gives her a stone with markings 
  10. she runs away with it and goes into a cave 
  11. goes into another world 
  12. sees army so hides 
  13. stuck in that world and looks for way out 
  14. finds a way out and goes back to campfire
  15. cook marshmallows

KKN welcome to Hogwarts

As you all might of guessed I really like harry potter and so I was so excited that this was up on the KKN website

Have you ever wished that you would one day receive that special acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? Well don’t give up hope just yet!Thanks to a team of dedicated Harry Potter fans, you can now enrol and study at Hogwarts online.Through this online school, you can now attend magic classes, get to know other witches and wizards, sleep in the Hogwart’s dorms and choose your own house (come on Gryffindor!)After registering, students receive their acceptance letter signed by the Headmistress Professor McGonagall before heading to Diagon Alley to collect first year books.Don’t confuse this as a game guys! This is a serious education for the witches and wizards of our world. Students are required to submit homework, essays and assignments which are marked and graded.To graduate to the following year of study, students must pass exams for each of their subjects – so study is required for a magical graduation!The site is known as Hogwardsishere and students must be 13 or older to enrol, please also ask permission from a parent before enrolling at Hogwarts!

5 minutes ski trip

As I Step Up Snow gets stuck on my ski I quickly shake it off A tall bearded man hands  it to my jump on to it just in Time he lets go I go wising I look down careful to make sure my skis don't cross and I lean back and I look up straight. The cold mountain is blowing on my face and I feel the fresh snow on my nose I get to that top I go over the bump when I just get over a Voice in my head saying let go let go so I let go and I let go An I start wising down the mountain

Secret Garden Personal Response

Mary Lennox is a troubled 10-year-old girl who was born in India to selfish, wealthy British parents who had never wanted her and were too wrapped up in their own lives to love or care about her. She was taken care of primarily by servants, who pacified her as much as possible to keep her out of her parents' way. Spoilt and with a temper, she is affectionate, angry, rude and obstinate. Later, there is a cholera epidemic which hits India and kills her mother, father and all the servants. She is discovered alone but alive after the house is empty. She briefly lives with an English clergyman and his family and is then sent to Yorkshire, England, to live with Archibald Craven, an uncle she has never met, at his home called Misselthwaite Manor.

The Giraffe the Pelly and me

 This book is about Billy, a young boy who has always dreamed of owning a sweet shop, especially since there is an abandoned one named The Grubber (an old English word for sweet shop) near where he lives. One day, he finds that the old building has been renovated and has become the head office for the Ladder less Window-Cleaning Company. Billy then meets its workers, a Giraffe with an extendable neck, a Pelican (or "Pelly" as he is called by the others) who has a flexible upper beak, and a Monkey, whom he then befriends. They all band together when they receive a letter from the Duke of Hampshire asking them to clean the 377 windows of Hampshire House.

The Magic far away tree Personal response

It is the second book in the The Faraway Tree series of novels, in which Joe, Beth and Frannie, the protagonists of the series, have their cousin Rick over to stay with them. They then introduce him to Silky, Moonface, Saucepan Man and all their other friends in the Magic Faraway Tree.this book is written by Enid Blyton This is a good book and I think that you should read it 

The Suitcase kid Personal Response

Andrea, known as Andy in the story, is a tall, awkward ten-year-old whose parents have recently divorced, much to her dismay,her dad wants her to live with him and her mum wants her to live with her! Her mother remarries Bill, (whom Andy calls Bill the Baboon).Andy has a strong dislike for him , as well as his other three children (especially Katie,a girl her own age but is five days older). Her father remarries Carrie, who has twins Zen and Crystal and is pregnant with her dad's new baby. Andy doesn't mind Carrie and her kids as much as Bill and his, but she still wishes she could have her dad to herself. Although Andy's dad and mom want Andy for themselves alone, they still decide that Andy would stay one week with her mum and one week with her dad.Throughout the book, Andy wishes that her parents would get back together and move back into their little house called Mulberry Cottage. Andy loses focus at school, getting poorer results, and loses touch with her previous best friend, Aileen. As she becomes more and more isolated, she draws support from her spotted Sylvanian Families rabbit, Radish, often playing imaginary games with her.

Bad girls Personal Response

10-year-old Mandy White is mercilessly tormented at school by three classmates: Kim, Melanie and Sarah. After an incident where she is nearly hit by a bus while crossing a road to avoid the bullies, she is kept at home from school and meets Tanya, a lively older girl being fostered by Mandy's next door neighbor. Despite disapproval from Mandy's elderly mother, who is very overprotective of her and treats her as if she were much younger, the girls quickly become friends. They dream of a future where they will be older and independent, free from families and foster homes, and can live together and have fantastic adventures. Mandy becomes afraid when she discovers that Tanya is a frequent shoplifter, but decides not to say anything in case they are forbidden from visiting each other. This is a really good book and I think you guys should read it

Public health experts are saying that unhealthy drinks should be taken out of Saturday sport.A recent study from the Otago University has shown that many of the sports drinks children use on Saturday are filled with sugar.Most children think the drinks were good for them because they were packaged and advertised as helping people play sport better.The lead researcher, Moira Smith, said such drinks were putting children at risk of obesity and tooth decay.Dr Smith said children who played Saturday morning sport do not need sports drinks for extra energy or re-hydration.The say that for any activity up 90 minutes long water is the best option for children.

The Tea shop girls Personal responcse

The Tea shop Girls is a fun coming of age read that showcases how friendships evolve as we age. The transition from middle school to high school is often difficult for many teens, but it can be even more brutal when your friends are also changing rapidly and you begin growing apart from those who have always been by your side in the past. For Annie, Zoe, and Genna, the tea parties at The Steeping Leaf are quickly becoming relics of their childhood. However, Annie is having trouble being left behind as her best friends discover new hobbies and friends. To make matters worse, The Steeping Leaf, might have to close its doors forever. Can Annie save the place she loves so much and win her friends back? Will the allure of the tea leaves be enough to bring them all back together as high school looms at the end of the summer? this is a really good book and I think you guys should read it 

Calamity Jack Personal Response

Jack likes to think of himself as a criminal mastermind…with an unfortunate amount of bad luck. A schemer, plotter, planner, trickster, swindler…maybe even thief? One fine day Jack picks a target a little more giant than the usual, and one little bean turns into a great big building-destroying beanstalk With help from Rapunzel (and her trusty braids), a pixie from Jack’s past, and a man with inventions from the future, they just might out-swindle the evil giants and put his beloved city back in the hands of good people ….while catapulting themselves and readers into another fantastical adventure. This is a really good book and I think you should read it.

The Dare game

Tracy and Cam often argue about anything, including Tracy's new school, where she has a ghastly class teacher, whom she has christened Mrs "Vomit" Bagley. She hates her. Most of her classmates spread rumors about her mum leaving her on purpose. Tracy says that her mum has to leave because she is a movie star in Hollywood. Tracy decides to exclude herself and go to her own secret house. After a few days she discovers she's not the only one who excluded herself from school as she meet two new friends, Alexander and Football. Alexander is a feeble little boy, whereas Football is the complete opposite, very burly, strong and large. Like Tracy, both boys have family problems: Alexander's dad hates him, and Football has a mother who is always going on at him; his dad has left, and keeps promising to take him to a football match, but he never does. They all stay at a secret house and play dares day after day, including one where Tracy hangs her underwear on a tree Suddenly, Tracy's mum, Carly, appears out of the blue, saying she wants her back. Tracy is allowed to stay with her for a weekend, where her mum showers her with expensive gifts. Cam is upset about losing Tracy, but Tracy is hell-bent on going to live with her mother forever. However, when she goes to her mother's for a second time, her and her mum have a great time for a while until her mum leaves her on her own for hours and hours while she attends a karaoke night at her local pub.

Jacky Daydream Personal Response

This is an autobiography about Jacqueline Wilson and in it tells you about her life and all about what she did who she did it with and did you know her mums name is biddy and this is so interesting and i think that you should read it.  she is a very interesting subject and you should so read it


The Hobbit Personal Response



This book is about a young hobbit named Bilbo Baggans o win a share of the treasure guarded by the dragon, Smaug. Bilbo's journey takes him from light-hearted, rural surroundings into more sinister territory. The story is told in the form of an episodic quest, and most chapters introduce a specific creature, or type of creature, of Tolkien's Wilderland. By accepting the disreputable, romantic, fey and adventurous side of his nature and applying his wits and common sense, Bilbo gains a new level of maturity, competence and wisdom. The story reaches its climax in the Battle of Five Armies, where many of the characters and creatures from earlier chapters re-emerge to engage in conflict.
This is a really good book and I think that you should read it 

Rapunzel's revenge Personal Response

This is a comic book called Rapunzel's revenge this book is about a young Rapunzel that
lives with mother Gothel but one day she climbs over the wall and sees the servants people and she goes and look and she meets her real mother then mother Gothel locks her in a tower  and their is no was of escaping and her hair grows and grows and she uses it as rope to free herself and she runs and finds her mother but she meets up with a boy and they become partners to find out more you will have to read it.
I this this is a really good book and i think that you should read it.

The Giggler Treatment

This book is written by it is written by Roddy Doyle and it is about Mr. Mack and he is about to step into a terrible fate . It begins with a simple man, Mr. Mack, heading for his job as a cookie taster . . . but also heading for a terrible and smelly fate. Is it an accident? Or are the mischievous Gigglers responsible? Find out in this really silly story that reveals the truth of what happens to grownups that are mean to children!
This is a rally good book and I think that you should read it.

Illustrated mum Personal Response

This book is called The Illustrated mum and It is about a girl named Dolphin and her older sister, Star, live with their mother, Marigold, in a small London flat. Marigold, an avid lover of tattoos, suffers from bipolar disorder and also has a drinking problem. Dolphin loves Marigold and thinks she is wonderful and unique, while Star is embarrassed by Marigold's tattoos and erratic behaviour. Dolphin feels like an outsider at school; she is bullied by some classmates and feels her teacher is unkind to her. She also struggles with her dyslexia. Star appears to be more popular, and Dolphin dislikes the fact that Star has an older boyfriend. Dolphin later befriends Oliver, a shy and studious boy who spends the lunch period in the library to avoid being teased. I really like this book and I think that you should read it.

The Lottie Project Personal Response

This book is about a girl named Charlie and she is the most popular girl in her school and she has a lot of friends.her two best friends are called Angelea Robinson and Lisa Fields. When her classes' form teacher goes on maternity leave she is replaced by a strict woman called Miss Beckworth, whom Charlie immediately dislikes Miss Beckworth sets the class a history project on the Victorians, and Charlie assumes that the topic will be boring and decides not to listen for the first lesson  until she finds a picture of a Victorian servant girl who looks just like her. Charlie decides to write a diary, told from the point of view of her character Lottie who is eleven years old, like Charlie; however she has left school to become a servant. This is a really good book and I think that you should read it
