Problem solving

Today we did problem solving and the problem that we had to figure out was:

Draw five straight lines on a clock to divide it into six regions the clock numbers in each region have to add up to the same total; and this was quite hard at the beginning because we had to figure out exactly what we had to do. So we had to make six regions and they all had to end up with the same total so we quickly realised for all the regions to reach the same total we had to make the total bigger than the highest number and we thought of the number 13 so we tried it out and it worked.
