The Giraffe the Pelly and me

 This book is about Billy, a young boy who has always dreamed of owning a sweet shop, especially since there is an abandoned one named The Grubber (an old English word for sweet shop) near where he lives. One day, he finds that the old building has been renovated and has become the head office for the Ladder less Window-Cleaning Company. Billy then meets its workers, a Giraffe with an extendable neck, a Pelican (or "Pelly" as he is called by the others) who has a flexible upper beak, and a Monkey, whom he then befriends. They all band together when they receive a letter from the Duke of Hampshire asking them to clean the 377 windows of Hampshire House.

Gorges Marvellous medicine - Personal Response

The genre of this book is fairytale and in this book there is a boy named George and he lives on a farm with his mum, dad and grandma and she is not very nice to George and so one day his parents go out and George has to give his grandma her medicine and she is saying stuff like eating bugs are good for you and so George runs away into the kitchen and hides ans then George has an idea. To find out what George put in the medicine you will have to read the book.

My Dad's Teacher


My  Dad's teacher wasn't half as nice as yours seems to be.
His name was Mister Unsworth and he taught him history.
And when you didn't know a date he'd get you by the ear
And start to twist while you sat there quite paralysed with fear.
He'd twist and twist and twist your ear and twist it more and more.
Until at last the ear came off and landed on the floor.
Our class was full of one-eared boys. He was certain there were eight.
Who'd had them twisted off because they didn't know a date.
So let us now praise teachers who today are all so fine
And yours in particular is totally divine
