The Clock work three Personal Response
Giuseppe finds a green violin floating in the harbor and he tries it out. He finds that it gives a very beautiful sound, and he is thrown money from people everywhere in the streets. He gets an idea to use his green violin to get a boat ticket back to Italy where he had been taken from. For once, Giuseppe has hope in getting back to his family. Frederick is going around in search of a chest plate for his clockwork man. While wandering the streets, Frederick catches a glimpse of Mrs. Treeless, the woman in charge of an orphanage Frederick had been in before becoming apprenticed to Master Branch, which reminds him of the awful memories he had at the orphanage. He also bumps into Giuseppe, but Giuseppe runs along with his violin. Later, he finds a coal chute, perfect for the chest plate, and sneaks it out of a coal yard. While he sneaks out, he lies about his father being O'Malley. He goes back to Master Branch's shop, where Frederick is an apprentice, and once he decides that Master Branch is asleep, he goes to the basement of the shop to work on his clockwork man. Hannah discovers that a man named Mister Stroop supposedly left the treasure in the suites at the top of the hotel. She later sees a map that hints it may be near a pond in the park. She runs to look for it when she desperately needs money for her sick father's medicine. There she meets Giuseppe, and the two look for the treasure but it is not there, though she receives some herbal medicine from a woman who lives in the park. Hannah's father draws for her where the treasure is hidden in the hotel, having worked for Stroop's hotel in the past.

Star Girl Personal Response
The story picks up four years later with the arrival of an eccentric new classmate, Susan Caraway, at Leo’s high school. Susan goes by the name Stargirl, and her behavior is unusual. Teens at Mica Area High School prize conformity above all else, but Stargirl seems not to care what anyone else thinks of her. She comes to school in strange outfits—kimonos, buckskin, 1920s flapper clothes, and pioneer clothing with no makeup. During each class period she decorates her desk with a tablecloth and flowers. She dances in the rain and strums a ukulele every day during lunch while singing "Happy Birthday" to kids she has never met. She attends strangers’ funerals and cheers for both teams during sporting events. Her behavior is so unusual that at first the student body does not know what to make of her. Popular student Hillari Kimble declares that Stargirl is a fake, and speculation and rumors around. Hillari orders Stargirl not to sing to her on her birthday, Stargirl keeps her promise—she sings Hillari’s name, but directs the song to Leo and mentions that she thinks he is cute. Leo gradually becomes intrigued by the mystery of Stargirl, following her after school and passively observing her odd actions and the student body’s reactions. Though at first rejected by most of the highschoolers, Stargirl gains a measure of popularity by joining the cheer-leading squad. Students begin to mimic her behavior, and at lunch she no longer sits alone. Her antics on the squad spark a boom in audience attendance at sporting events. Leo privately celebrates the outburst of individuality taking over the school, even though his own shy demeanor keeps him from participating.

Mains Stars Holland Christmas
For most children in The Netherlands, the most important day during December is 5th December, when Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas) brings them their presents!
St. Nicholas' day is on the 6th December, but in Holland, the major celebrations are held on the 5th December. The name Santa Claus comes from the name Sinterklaas.
On the morning of St. Nicholas' Day, Sinterklaas travels to a city or town in The Netherlands, wearing his red bishop's robes. He travels with his servants called 'Zwarte Pieten' ('Black Peters'). When Sinterklaas and the Black Peters come ashore from the boat, all of the local church bells ring in celebration. Sinterklaas then leads a procession through the town, riding a white horse. If he visits Amsterdam, he meets the Queen in the Palace. If he visits Amsterdam, he meets the Queen in the Palace. On December, 5th children leave clogs or shoes out, by the fireplace or sometimes a windowsill, and sing Sinterklaas songs. They hope that Sinterklaas will come during the night with some presents. They also believe that if they leave some hay and carrots in their shoes for Sinterklaas's horse, they will be left some sweets. They're told that, during the night, Sinterklaas rides on the roofs on his horse and that a 'Zwarte Piet' will then climb down the chimney (or through a window) and put the presents and/or candy in their shoes. Children are told that the Zwarte Pieten keep a record of all the things they have done in the past year. Good children will get presents from Sinterklaas, but bad children will be put in a sack and the Zwarte Pieten take them to Spain for a year to teach then how to behave! Dutch tradition says that St. Nicholas lives in Madrid, Spain and every year he chooses a different harbour to arrive in Holland, so as many children as possible get a chance to see him. Every town in Holland has a few Sinterklaas helpers, dressed the same as Sinterklaas who help give the presents out. (and sometimes you might one see one Zwarte Pieten with Sinterklaas!)

My Cemetery poem
Cemetery Poem
Walt: Use exciting vocab
I was walking in the cemetery
When a thought occurred to me,
Thousands of people laid her to rest
Its quite sad but picturesque,
If my time on this earth had ended
I would have would like to have my life presented,
Buried with my family
Or cremated and thrown out to sea,
Even though my family will be sad
I want them to know that I’ll be glad,
That One day we will reunite
And I will watch over them in the night,
And now I awaken from my dream
I'm standing in the cemetery,
Looking upon a grave
Where my family will always stay.

Dairy of a wimpy kid the last straw Personal Response
The book starts on January 1 with Greg talking about his family's New Years resolutions. Life becomes more difficult for Greg and Rowley when their school bus is "rezoned" and they have to walk to and from school. Greg tries to have his mom drive him to school, but that only ends up embarrassing him. He also talks about how his dad compares him unfavorably to his boss's sons, who are very athletic. They have conflicts over Greg wanting to stay inside and watch TV on Saturdays and his dad stealing his school snacks. Eventually his dad makes him sign up for rec league soccer. At first he rides the bench, but becomes the starting goalie when the other goalie is injured. He allows a goal to ruin his team's perfect season because he took a break to pick dandelions on the field.
Diary of a wimpy kid the ugly truth
Greg Heffley attempts to audition for a local ice cream advertisement for an ice cream company called "Peachy Breeze." Greg fails his audition due to him being too old to fit the part for a 3-6 year old. Greg then explains how he is discriminated because of his age by his own family, stating he was the center of attention when he was younger and is now disliked and ignored due to Manny, his younger brother.Greg is then informed that his Uncle Gary will marry for the fourth time, and that when his wedding comes, Greg will have "The Talk" with his great-grandmother Gammie, a polite but sly and clever old woman Susan Henley, Greg's mother, announces that she will be going back to college for a few months in order to stimulate her mind. As a result, the Henley men must take care of themselves, and most stability falls apart. Food is often ruined, and Frank Henley, Greg's father, sprains his ankle, when they try to go out to eat. to find out what happens next you will have to read the book
Diary of a wimpy kid cabin fever
The book starts with Greg's problems regarding the arrival of Christmas and the concept of Santa Claus's surveillance of good or bad children and pondering as to how this could be. His mother stumbles upon a doll known as "Santa's Scout" (a parody of the Elf on the shelf) and uses it as a tool to prompt her children into good behavior; however, Greg's paranoia regarding the subject of the doll is taken advantage of by Rodrick, who uses it to prank his brotherMeanwhile, Greg implied with a gaming website known as "Net Kritterz"(Webkinz) and tending to the needs of his virtual pet and the website's required paid features, so he and Rowley devise various moneymaking ideas, which all backfire or fail. They soon decide to publish their own tabloid newspaper called the Neigbourhood Tattler, but find difficulties in selling and advertising it, and Greg fears that Rowley's additions to the newspaper will only damage their chances of selling copies even further. to find out what happenes next you will have to read the book

The Real art Roadshow
Today Room 11 went to the Real Art Roadshow which is a gallery inside a truck and it has so many pieces of art they travel all around the west coast and other places and they go to schools and show them the art work.
When I first walked in there I was amazed there was so much art work and it was all so cool. Our gallery guide Sue told us somethings about some of the pieces she said there was about 70 maybe a bit more bits of art and I was really fascinating to learn some the history behind some really cool bits of Art for example there was one piece called shark in a blanket and that piece was made for a tribute to somebody's father who was a fisherman and the boys father would take him out fishing and when the weather got cold he would rap the boy and himself up in a green checkered blanket and so when the father died the son made a sculpture of a hammer head shark and then he rapped it up in a blanket because that was one of his most outstanding childhood memory's.
My favourite piece of art was the one called 30 bits of silver and It had some good history behind it because it was a very cool thing to see it had 30 silver tokens or coins on a long bit of black string and the coins were use as money in china and in the olden days you did not
